Restarted Spotify and I was able to play music as per normal through the speakers.I closed the sound settings in Windows and closed Spotify.I selected my speakers from the drop down list. I had a similar error with my Windows 10 system today trying to play music on Spotify.
The Now Playing View sidebar will open up on the right side of the app by default when you start playback, but you can disable this behavior under Settings Display Show the now-playing panel on click of play. Disable Spotify’s hardware acceleration feature You can open and close the Now Playing View sidebar by clicking the button in the bottom right of the desktop app.You can play, pause, and skip tracks as standard. I've tried all of these things, nothing works: On desktop, dig deeper into what’s playing in the Now Playing View. Once I open the Spotify program both the program and web player don't work anymore. I can get the web player to work if I restart the computer and start playing on web player only. On my phone, Spotify is not connected to any devices.

It's a fresh install and has never been installed on this computer before. Every time I open the Spotify app and web player I get the error message: To the people who it is not working maybe ensure you select the 'Web NowPlaying' media player in the settings, this fixed it for me. Just to have it said, yes i have tried to change the player to spotify or Spotify in every visualizer :/įrom what i read earlier, The new rainmeter version was doing something with the Nowplaying, but i didn't understand what they ment by it, but i updated to v4.0 Beta to see if that helped, but nope.Hi, Please help. I checked the C:\Program Files (x86)\Rainmeter\Plugins and found both the Nowplaying.dll and the spotifyplugin.dll there so their not missing atleast. Now i've spent so many hours trying to understand what's wrong by Google and try & error, but so far the only thing i've found out is that the play/pause and Next/prev track buttons ALWAYS work, but the text and cover doesn't.

My NowPlaying.dll file is either not working or i haven't "activated it" somehow, what i'm trying to say is that i use Spotify as my daily driver for music, and i have never gotten the song title, album cover or artist name to work on Any spotify visualizers. Having that said i've used Rainmeter for a year now with diffrent visualizers and i'm extremely pleased with this piece of software, however i'm having a issue that i've had since day one. Run Spotify (need to have the app running). For this reason, you need to get online and resync Spotify. i don't know much about editing codes to make stuff work. If you are not connected to the internet for over 30 days after your last connection, the downloaded music may not be able to play. Hey, i'm new to forums in general and somewhat new to Rainmeter.
